This deliverable describes documents the workflow and the architecture of the planned toolchain (Agile Model Development Framework).

EleMA – Electric Modeling Architecture.pdf 1.1 MB
This document is a result of our project and derived from journal article ‘EleMA: A reference simulation model architecture and interface standard for modeling and testing of electric vehicles’. To support you with reusing our results, we have created this overview of component interfaces and component connections.

Component Development

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D2.7 LCC and LCA Analysis and Results of the Battery.pdf 1.7 MB
In order to validate models developed in the HIFI-ELEMENTS project, a battery module has been designed. The supply chain of a battery has environmental and social impacts. The subtask 2.3.4 therefore evaluates the three sustainability pillars: economic, environmental and social aspects of the full life cycle of the battery.

Model, Data and Simulation Management

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.1 Set of SYNECT Add-Ons to Import All Model Formats and Set of Frame Model Generators.pdf 2.8 MB

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.2 Formalized Variant Model Represented in SYNECT to Cover All Scalability and Variability Aspects of Component Models and Parameter Sets.pdf 1.3 MB
This report describes the formalized variant model represented in SYNECT to cover all scalability and variability aspects of component models.

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.4 Simulation Framework.pdf 2.2 MB
This deliverable describes the required extensions to the xMOD Simulation Framework to be integrated in the AMDF tool-chain.

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.5 Addons and Plugins.pdf 4.0 MB
This deliverable describes the SYNECT add-ons and plug-ins to connect the data management tool to the project-developed test framework (Tool for Electrical Vehicle Testing) and simulation tool (xMOD).

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.6 Documentation for the Agile Model Development Framework.pdf 4.0 MB
This deliverable shows the use of the Agile Model Development Framework, which was developed in cooperation with the WP3 partners. The framework shall be provided to the project partners of the use case work packages 4-7 and accelerate the development of the components for electric vehicles. The data management tool SYNECT, the Co- simulation platform xMOD and the testing framework TEVET are part of the toolchain. The deliverable documents in detail the cross-tool workflows and how the tools have to be used by the users.

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.7 Documentation of new Calibration Methodology.pdf 4.9 MB
In Work Package 3 of the HIFI-ELEMENTS project, task 3.4 deals with the development of an automatic calibration methodology of electric machine models and a semi-automatic calibration methodology of battery models. This deliverable describes the motivation, the workflow and the results of both methodologies.

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D3.8 Document summarising the feedback given from the use cases to model and workflow development and interface definitions.pdf 2.7 MB
This deliverable describes the feedback and lessons learned about the HIFI architecture (interface definitions), the model development and the WP3 toolchain (AMDF–Agile Model Development Framework) deployment in the use case WPs of the project.

Application, Verification & Validation

E-Motor Replacement

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D4.1 Report on the outcomes and evaluation of the e – machine component integration.pdf 4.5 MB
This deliverable is aiming to provide a detailed description of the use case of integrating a new e-machine to a Battery Electric Vehicle.

Battery Development

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D5.1 Report on the outcomes and evaluation of the battery development use case.pdf 8.9 MB
This report details the activities of Work Package 5 within the HIFI-ELEMENTS project. The main aim was to prove the benefits of virtualisation of the battery pack in terms of complete component testing and validation. All stages of battery pack development were covered including cell selection, module assembly, battery pack concept design, battery pack testing and calibration.

Component Co-optimisation

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D6.1_Report of the outcomes and evaluation of WP-6 Use case C – Component co-optimisation.pdf 13.6 MB
The objective of this use case is to validate the new standard, developed and implemented in WP1 and WP2, to prove that it serves to pursue its main purposes and, eventually, provide feedback from the lessons learned during the integration step to create a complete vehicle model.

E-Drive Concepts

HIFI-ELEMENTS – D7.1_Report on the outcomes and evaluation of the E-drive concepts use case.pdf 5.0 MB
This deliverable describes the work that has been carried out for work package 7. The objective of this WP was to perform a conceptual design of an EV while considering a wide range of E-drivetrain concepts. In this way, the use case aims to demonstrate that utilising re-usable real-time (higher complexity) models at the concept phase can assist the decisions taken at this early stage, thus contributing to higher efficiency.
